Pair of Antique Japanese Tsuba Sword Guards

Item Details

A pair of antique Japanese metal tsuba sword guards. The larger guard has an impressed diamond shape interior with stylized waves. An inscription is carved around the central opening. The smaller guard features a scholar seated by a stream and shows faint traces of gold-tone overlay. 1938.0145 & 0147
