Early 20th Century Oak Caned Seteé

Item Details

A late 19th century oak seteé featuring a pierced top crest and ornate stretcher to the front, both heavily hand carved with center floral urn flanked by cupid figures and stylized foliate scrollwork motif. The carved back has an oval caned inset panel to the center and acanthus finials. The seteé also features hand carved acanthus leaf grips and shoulders to the arms with block and turned supports and stretcher which have a barley twist design, carved rosettes to the blocks and a caned seat with carved floral frame.
