Charcoal on paper
A charcoal drawing on paper by listed Boston Expressionist artist Arnold Trachtman (American, born 1930). Titled Horn Man, this depicts the quarter-length portrait of a trumpet player, dressed in a black tux, whose face is obscured by the large horn facing the viewer, the ring ornamented hand, and the coils of the pipes. This work is titled and dated ‘11-27-60’ in the top right corner. It is presented with a pale gray mat under glass in a black wooden frame that is wired for hanging. - fair; toning to drawing and mat; stains to drawing to top edge; debris under the glass to center of the right side, along lower edge; stains to mat along the lower edge and to upper right corner; wear to finish of frame.
