1857 Bronze Napolean I St. Helena Medal

An antique French Napoleon I St. Helena Medal, created in 1857 by Napoleon III for French and foreign soldiers who served between 1792-1815. The front features the bust of Napoleon I and the reverse reads ‘A Ses Compagnons De Gloire Sa Derniere Pensée Ste. Helene 5 Mai 1821’ with ‘Campagnes De 1792-1815’ around the border. It presents in a heavily carved laurel wreath frame with a loop at the top.
