Item Details
A limited edition 1968 lithograph on paper by German-American artist Ulfert Wilke (1907-1987), known for abstract expressionism. The work depicts abstract asemic writing in a palette of black on off-white. The print is signed in graphite to the lower right, with an additional notation of ‘44’, ‘SF, ’68’. The piece is also numbered 25/60 to the lower left, above an illegible blind stamp. The item is mounted against a background of black linen and presented under glass in a white wooden frame fitted with hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- some light wear and toning to print with age; faint scratches to frame finish; stains to top of frame; small holes to frame’s paper backing.
