A set of three pieces of art. Featured is a circa 1970s limited edition serigraph on paper by listed American artist Sister Mary Corita (1918 – 1986) titled Rules Are Fair. The image depicts abstract shapes in yellow, orange and magenta; it includes orange text in plate to the top right that reads ‘To believe in God is to know that all the rules are fair and that there will be wonderful surprises. – Ugo Betti’. The piece is signed by hand to the lower right, titled to the lower center and numbered ‘ed 200’ to the lower left. The print is presented under glass in a silver tone metal frame with hanging wire to the verso. More information about Corita and her work can be found by visiting the link in Additional Information. Also included is a brightly colored limited edition lithograph on paper by artist Lita Severin. The piece depicts an inspirational quote that reads ‘Love is worth the time it takes to find. – Rod McKuen’. The work is signed in graphite to the lower right and numbered 20/26 to the lower left. It is matted in blue and presented in a plastic block-style frame. Also featured is a 1979 abstract painting on canvas depicting variegated hues of blue. It is signed ‘SN Kolmen, 79’ in white paint to the lower right; however, no clear artist attribution could be made. The painting is presented in a gold tone frame fitted with hanging wire to the verso.
