Antique 1905 Chromolithograph Advertisement on Metal

Item Details

An antique 1905 oil-based chromolithographic advertisement for Gold Seal Trademark Urbana Wine Company, with applied paper wedding invitations to the upper left and right corners, one printed in Hebrew and the other in English. The advertisement’s image depicts a bottle of the sparkling wine resting on a tabletop surrounded by rubbish from opening the bottle, a crystal champagne coupe filled with bubbles, and a burning cigar. This piece is mounted in a wood frame with a dark cherry stained finish, equipped to hang.

Condition

- rust and accretion across print. Paper wedding invitation applique are discolored and covered with foxing. Frame is nicked and worn.
