A selection of vintage china teacups and saucers from China and England. The three pairs in this lot feature gilt detailing and colorful illustrations to the white surfaces. The pair with dark pink and white roses is marked on the saucer base ‘Made in China – 7’; the footed teacup is marked ‘Made in China – 4’. The pair with a repeating pattern of blossoming yellow roses is marked to the base ‘By Appointment to Her Majesty The Queen – China Potters – Paragon – Fine Bone China -England Reg’d’ and ‘Six World Famous Roses – Harry Wheatcroft – Diorama’. Wheatcroft (1898-1977) was a popular rose grower and expert. The teacup and saucer decorated with scenes of English rural villages and thatched-roof buildings are marked to the base ‘Royal Albert – Bone China – England’.
