Chinese Celadon Jade Water Buffalo Plaque

Item Details

An early 20th century Chinese carved jade medallion with a water buffalo among trees. The stone is finely polished to the facade, the reverse is in as finished a state. There are four loops drilled into the back of the medallion to allow it to be mounted (possibly to a screen or furniture). Accession number on the reverse- 1938.0053.
