A mixed media sculpture, titled ‘Old Days Back’, by artist Emile Dekel. This three-dimensional sculpture depicts a bathroom sink from a frontal view, which is surrounded by hung hand towels, a mirror and affixed elements indicating foliate wallpaper and tile flooring. Mediums utilized include acrylic paint, cut paper, fabric, graphite and wood. The composition is affixed to a purple backing, which contains a handwritten title, date (1993) and artist signature to the lower margins. This is presented under glass beneath layered matting in a black wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- fading to sink pedestal and sconces; 2.0" faint mark above sink; nicks to upper and lower edge of frame; white paint specks in upper center front of frame; some wear on corners of frame.
