Chinese Jadeite and Brass Buckle
Item Details
An early 20th century Chinese two-piece belt buckle, with jadeite insert. The larger section has a brass frame with a leiwen meander border around a rectangular jadeite stone, well polished to reveal emerald and lavender tones. There is a smaller brass piece that slides in to complete the buckle.
Accession number was 1938.0003 A&B.

Condition
- stone appears to have slipped in mount and glue is present on the surface, so one end of the stone protrudes from the mounting.
