Item Details

An offset lithograph after an original 1876 work titled The Broken Flower Pot by Belgian genre painter Jan Verhas (1834-1896). This depicts a young girl and boy standing within a grand white and black marble hall in front of a tall brass vase, with a broken pot before them, with foliage and dirt spilling onto the floor. It is signed within the plate in the bottom left corner ‘Jan Verhas 1876’. This work is presented double matted in buff and green under glass, in a gold tone wooden frame, wired for hanging.
