Opaque Serpentine Chinese Seal

Item Details

A late 19th or early 20th-century serpentine Chinese seal with a carved beast figure resting atop. The stone is celadon to the base and naturally arrives at a russet to the finial carving. Archaic characters carved to the underside.

This item tested as serpentine. Accession sticker remains attached and reads ‘1938.0041’.
