Three Antique Spanish Colonial Retablos

Item Details

A group of three early 19th Century Spanish Colonial retablo images on board. One has an image of Mary with her hands clasped. The second, which is split into two pieces, shows Mary inside an aura with floral borders but much of the detail is indistinct. The third is the right half of a broken panel showing a figure, possibly Jesus, holding a cross in his right hand with drapes on the right side. The rustic paintings are executed in black, red blue and yellow rough hewn board. 1938.0526, 0538 & 0532
