A beautiful vintage hand-knotted Turkish Arts and Crafts area rug. This wool rug is rendered in a palette of blues, salmon, ivory, and black. It features a semi-abstract design with very large flowers amid ribbons of blue and ivory over a graduated pastel ground in both the field and a wide border. The borders are outlined in black for deep contrast. Selvedges are double overcast, the rug finishing at either end with short kilim skirts and knotted ivory cotton warp fringe. It is unmarked.
