An oil copy painting on board by an anonymous artist after the original painting by well-listed American landscape artist Morley Hicks (1877 – 1959). The image depicts a townscape rendered in large, relatively flat planes of color. Several figures stand outside talking amongst themselves. The painting is not signed by the artist but this work was accompanied by another signed copy painting after the same artist and is consistent in style and subject matter. This painting is mounted in a beveled wood frame with a distressed bronzed finish. See item 17CIN224-355 for related piece.
