An oil copy painting on board by an anonymous artist after the original painting by well-listed American landscape artist Morley Hicks (1877 – 1959). The image depicts a townscape rendered in large, relatively flat planes of color. Several figures stand outside talking amongst themselves. The painting is not signed by the artist but a nod to Hicks is acknowledged to the lower right. This painting is mounted in a beveled wood frame with a distressed bronzed finish. - notable accretion and discoloration to painting and frame. Finish of frame is worn along edges and corners.
