A hand-knotted Persian Bakhtiari pictorial area rug. This area rug features tree, flower and foliage imagery encased in central square patterns throughout. The rug is executed in a palette of red, light pink, peach, blue, orange, and cream highlighted with black linework and inner orange borders complimenting the squares. The compound border features alternating floral imagery finished with brown selvedge and natural warp fringe to either end. The rug is unmarked.
