A signed, limited edition offset lithograph after Hancock the Superb: The Irish Brigade at Antietam, September 17, 1862 by Mort Künstler (American, 1927 – ). This piece depicts General Winfield Scott Hancock and the Irish Brigade at the Battle of Antietam of the American Civil War. It is set behind an ecru mat and glass in a metallic-toned resin frame with a wire to the verso for hanging. It is signed by hand to the lower left, hand-numbered AP XXVII/XCV to the lower right, and embossed with the artist’s signature to the lower right. A certificate of authenticity is included. Mort Künstler is a contemporary American artist well-known for his illustrative paintings in historical realism.

- light marks to frame and glass; finish rubbed off of one spot to upper side of frame.
