Charles Field Haviland Limoges "Head 140" Bouillon Bowls and Saucers
Item Details
A set of eight Charles Field Haviland Limoges Head 140 bouillon bowls and saucers. The bowls and saucers feature a delicate Art Nouveau style pattern of stylized green leaves and dots around the rims combined with stripes of gilding as well as gilded handles. The Haviland company was started before the American Civil War and thousands of patterns have been created since then. The back stamps on these pieces ‘Ch. Field Haviland Limoges’ in a circle with ‘GDA/France’ indicate a date after 1899. The ‘GDA’ stands for Gerard, Dufraisseux, & Abbot, considered to be among the best producers of Limoges china.
