A semi-antique Caucasian hand knotted wool runner rug, being coarsly woven with a short cut pile. The rug features a diagonally striped center field with repeating Boteh motifs in tones of red, bone white and blue. The center field is framed by two geometric secondary borders, having overcast selvage edges and short fringe to opposite ends. Unmarked.

Condition

to Poor – heavy wear with loss to the pile. Wear and fraying to selvages with loss to fringed ends. With multiple sewn repairs.
