A framed vintage reproduction lithograph map. The Bicycle Road Map of the Bluegrass Region of Kentucky and Vicinity of Louisville, KY. Compiled from Various Maps, Road-Books, etc. to the Jolly Good Fellows of the A.A.B.C. for the Year 1899 Revised shows bicycle routes extending from Maysville in the east and Lancaster to the south and Louisville to the west and Warsaw and Williamstown to the north. Mileage and road conditions are also noted. Copyright 1899 by Webster Gazlay. Press Louisville Lithographic Company. Webster Gazlay (1862-1914) was a draftsman at the Louisville and Nashville Railroad, a civil engineer, and vice president at the National Concrete Construction Company in Louisville. This map records the roadways in use in Central Kentucky in use at the end of the 19th Century. It is framed in a plain brown wooden frame with a picture wire.
