1907 Chicago Cubs Baseball Postcard With Schedule
Item Details
A 1907 Chicago Cubs souvenir baseball postcard. This postcard, made of a thin cardboard paper, depicts an image of Cubs star pitcher Carl Lungren. There is also a bear cub with a baseball glove on the front. The postcard reads ‘My, but it’s warm.’ The backside also has ink writing that reads ‘This fellow is a cousin of Mae’s.’ The Chicago Cub’s ‘Home’ baseball schedule is also presented on the backside of this antique postcard. This card was sponsored by the ‘Boston Oyster House’ which also advertises ‘The Cubs Dining Room.’ There is a copyright date of 1907. stamped on this card. The Cubs won the 1907 World Series defeating the Detroit Tigers for their first World Championship Title.
Condition
- the original owner wrote on the card but it was never sent. Edge and surface wear. Some discoloration.
