Porcelain Clown Doll

Item Details

A clown doll with a porcelain head, hands and feet and a cloth body. This doll depicts a balding blond clown with molded hair and a molded hat and painted face makeup; the clown’s right hand has the ring finger and pinky finger curled back so that the two forefingers and thumb resemble a finger gun, while the left hand has the middle and ring fingers curled back in a position similar to the ILY sign. The clown is dressed in an ill-fitting plaid shirt and pants, an oversized brown felt waistcoat and black shoes which are splitting at the toe to reveal white socks. This piece has no apparent tags or marks.

- some general surface wear and discoloration; loose threads on clothing; shoes deliberately broken.
