Valter Morais Acrylic Painting on Canvas of Rooster

An acrylic painting on canvas of a rooster by Valter Morais (Brazilian, b.1948). Signed by hand to the lower left corner, the painting depicts a colorful rooster standing with a stylized sun in the background. The painting is mounted in a black wood frame with a wire present to verso for hanging purposes. Morais was inspired by the Cubist and Pop Art Movements and is best known for his colorful paintings depicting actions of everyday life.

- minor scratches on the frame; very minor blemishes in the blue part of the rooster to paint
