A Christian Moerlein Brewing Company ‘Old Jug Lager Krug-Bier’ bottle. The bottle is comprised of buff colored stoneware, with amber glaze to the neck and black transfer advertising. After moving to Cincinnati as an immigrant from Bavaria in 1842, Christian Moerlein established a brewery in a predominantly German Cincinnati neighborhood. His most popular beer was “Old Jug Lager Krug-Bier.”
