Vintage Poplar Double Sided Pedestal Desk

Item Details

A vintage poplar double sided pedestal desk. This rectangular top desk with walnut finish features, on one side, a kneehole drawer flanked by four drawers to each side and terminates on ogee bracket feet. The drawer fronts feature brass tone bail handles and escutcheons. The other side of the desk features a kneehole drawer flanked by drawers and cabinet doors with recessed panels terminating on ogee bracket feet. The cabinet doors open to a single shelf. The two side panels of this desk feature batwing plates with a handle on one side. There are no visible maker’s marks.

Condition

- some hardware missing; drawer and cabinet interiors scratches and finish worn; wear to edges throughout; fading and nicks to leather top; scratches throughout.
