An acrylic painting on paper with deckled edges titled The Sea and the Tree, created in 1988. This work depicts a view of the sea with waves crashing on the rocky shoreline. A tree with few leaves is rendered to the right of the composition. Consisting of vibrant colors, forms are delineated with dark outlines and large gestural brushstrokes in this expressionistic portrayal of the subject. No signature was found on the work; handwriting to the verso reads “The Sea and the Tree, Dawn Westport CA 12/5/88’. The painting is not mounted and is presented unframed.

Condition

- pinholes along the paper edges from previous mounting.
