"Martha Washington" Sewing Cabinet

Item Details

A Martha Washington sewing cabinet. This oblong oval shaped piece features a mahogany finish. To the top is a square center surface, flanked by two demilune shaped lids that lift to reveal storage space. To the front are three dovetail jointed drawers with wooden knobs. The upper drawer includes a divided tray. The cabinet stands on four turned fluted legs with knob feet. It is marked ‘W.K. Cowan Furniture Company/Chicago, Ill’. to the top drawer interior.
