An original oil painting on canvas board by listed American artist George Sumner Colman (California/Illinois; 1881 – 1934). The image depicts an Italian harbor scene in which colorful sailboats anchored near a marina building, reflecting brilliantly on the rippling, aqueous surface. Artist signature is signed in paint to the lower right. This painting is mounted in a beveled wood frame with a bright gold leaf finish, equipped to hang.
Condition
- inpainting in several areas near outer edges of painting. Canvas board is slightly warped and paint is lifting to mid left edge. Finish of frame is worn and scratched throughout.
