An acrylic painting on canvas of an abstract scene by listed American artist Nanci Blair Closson (b. 1943). This piece depicts abstract overlapping forms rendered within tan, yellow, green, and white hues applied within gestural brushstrokes on a textured surface. Signed by the artist to the lower right. A W.T. Burger stamp, label, and description are present to verso. The work remains unframed.
Closson earned a Bachelor of Arts at Purdue University. Known for her abstract watercolor and acrylic paintings, Closson is a member of several art organizations including the American Watercolor Society, the Audubon Artists, and the National Watercolor Society, to name a few. Her work is featured in Edward Betts’ book Master Class in Watercolor.
