An oil painting on canvas landscape scene by listed Romanian artist Philipp Papst (1915-?). The work depicts a countryside landscape with a church and other buildings in the background. A dirt path cuts through the foreground of the scene parallel with a stream in a diagonal motion as a mother and her child walk along with their sheep. Signed to the lower right in paint. W.T. Burger Co. label and artist biography present to the verso. The work remains unframed.

Condition

- slight line indentation near the top left; surface scratches present in the sky area above the church; edges of canvas are frayed; visible lines from the previous framing around the edges.
