1960s Cincinnati Reds "Mr. Red" Mascot Bobble Head Doll

A 1960s Cincinnati Reds baseball nodder or bobble head doll. This souvenir hand-painted bobblehead doll is constructed of a paper mache material and stands on a gold round base. The doll represents Mr. Red, Cincinnati’s famous team mascot character. The bottom has a black stamping that reads ‘Patent Japan.’ The doll’s face is well detailed with a handlebar mustache. This mid-century original bobble head doll was sold at concession stands at historic Crosley Field in the 1960s.

Condition

Pre-owned with soiling and discoloration. Nicks and chunk missing from the back of the head. An example of a vintage Cincinnati Reds original bobble head doll. Crack at neck area which has a vintage repair.
