The impressionistic style painting depicts a reclining woman wearing a florid hat and holding a blue parasol beneath the shadow of a lush tree, with a body of water and blue distant hills in the background. Signed by the artist to the lower left. To the verso the handwritten name of the artist, a gallery stamp, and remnants of a label from W. T. Berger Co. are present. Presented beneath a wood green velvet mat, the work remains unframed.
