An oil painting on canvas titled Harbor Scene, created by British artist Michael D’Aguilar (1922-2011). Portrayed with loose painterly brushstrokes and suppressed details, this impressionistic work features a number of boats anchored at a harbor, populated with small village architecture. A couple reclines together in the left foreground and people leisurely promenade along the waterfront. The work is signed in paint to the lower right. A descriptive label, a stamp, and short bio of the artist provided by W.T. Burger Co. are present to the verso. The work remains unframed.

Born to Spanish parents in London, Michael D’Aguilar attended the Royal Academy Schools. He is known for his leisurely impressionist scenes often featuring waterfront scenes. D’Aguilar won a number of awards in his lifetime including gold, silver, bronze, and Armitage medals at the Royal Academy.
