An abstracted photograph collage on paper by listed artist Don Werner (American, 1929 – 2010). The work depicts and abstract composition with photographs of plant life cut into organic shapes. Signed in graphite to the bottom left corner. Presented mounted in a white mat without a frame.
Donald Lewis Werner was an American photographer, painter, and graphic designer born in Fresno, California in 1929. He studied at Fresno State College with Adolf and Ella Odorfer and Jane Gale. He was in Who’s Who in American Art and exhibited work at Gallery 1984, the Fresno Art Museum, the National Arts Club, and the American Museum of Natural History. His works can be found in various collections including the Smithsonian Institute and the Fresno Art Museum.
