A cut paper artwork of a tropical landscape by American artist Donald Lewis Werner (b.1929). Depicted is a scene with figures riding bikes and horses along the bottom. The figures ascend a staircase with different scenes taking place. At the very top of the composition is a scene with figures watching a movie. To the verso, an inscription in ink is present along the top of the frame. This piece is unsigned. Presented being two panes of acrylic glass within a blue wooden frame.

Donald Lewis Werner is an American photographer, painter, and graphic designer born in Fresno, California in 1929. He studied at Fresno State College with Adolf and Ella Odorfer and Jane Gale. He was in Who’s Who in American Art and exhibited work at Gallery 1984, the Fresno Art Museum, the National Arts Club, and the American Museum of Natural History. His works are in collections at the Smithsonian Institute and the Fresno Art Museum.
