A 1998-1999 digital photo collage on paper of an abstract by Don Werner (American, 1929-2010). Depicted are several digital photos of reds, blues and grays organized over top of one another to create an abstracted image. Artist’s signature present to lower left corner of piece along with year of creation. Presented mounted under acrylic glass in a metal frame with wire hanger to verso.
Donald Lewis Werner was an American photographer, painter, and graphic designer born in Fresno, California in 1929. He studied at Fresno State College with Adolf and Ella Odorfer and Jane Gale. He was in Who’s Who in American Art and exhibited work at Gallery 1984, the Fresno Art Museum, the National Arts Club, and the American Museum of Natural History. His works can be found in various collections including the Smithsonian Institute and the Fresno Art Museum.
