Gold FIlled Victorian Buttercup Bangle With Vintage Bates & Bacon Enameled Bangle

Item Details

A group of gold filled floral bracelets, with one Victorian bangle and one vintage bangle by Bates & Bacon. The Victorian piece features a raised center motif at the head, with a buttercup flanked by scrolling vines, and engraved buttercups to the shank. It is finished with a slide-through buckle type closure, which has three length position holes, where a post latches, and is then secured by a sliding loop. This piece is not hallmarked. The vintage hinged bangle features buttercup motifs with black enameled details, over a crosshatch-textured field. It is finished with a hidden push button box tab and a rolo chain safety catch. This piece is stamped, ‘B&B’ to the clasp, a hallmark for Bates & Bacon, an Attlebore, MA manufacturer that was operational from 1856 through circa 1943.
