An antique handwoven Persian Kurdish Bidjar Heriz area rug. The rug features a central blue medallion with two mirrored geometric designs inside a red lozenge on a blue background. The red section is filled with black diamond patterns and the blue area is filled with rust, tan and orange flowers. It is framed with a small border with a tan background and black and rust design inside a larger blue border with abstract geometric designs using all the colors of the rug. The rug is finished with a tied natural warp fringe.
