Decoratively Painted Brickwede Brothers Sideboard

Item Details

A decoratively painted Brickwede Brothers wooden sideboard. The sideboard has two full drawers to top over three cabinet doors below, on a scrolled plinth base. The unit has been decoratively painted by local Cincinnati artist Denise Strasser, featuring a deep green background with scenic landscape images of Gallway Bay, Ireland to the cabinet doors. The sideboard is marked by the maker to the inside top drawer with a ‘Brickwede’ plaque. The Brickwede Furniture Manufacturing Company operated in Marietta, Ohio from 1917 to 1959.
