An original late-19th century hand-colored stone lithograph on paper by M. & N. Hanhart, published by Henry Sotheran & Company as part of the publication series The Mansions of England in the Olden Time by well-listed architectural artist Joseph Nash (1809 – 1878). This image was plate number LI in the series, and is titled Stairs to the Terrace. The print depicts a family lounging on the stone steps of their home in a blooming garden scene. Its title is printed to the lower edge, and pale hand-coloring has been applied across the piece. The print is matted in white with several hand-drawn French lines. It is presented without framing.

Condition

- paper and matting are slightly discolored.
