2008 Beijing Olympics Games Series III Gold and Silver Set

A 2008 ‘Beijing Olympics Games Series III’ gold and silver set with certificate of authenticity. The six coin collection includes two approximately 23 mm, 1/3 ounce, 99.9% gold proof coins with a face value of 150 yuan each. The obverse of each depicts the title of the PRC, the year 2008, the traditional paired Chinese dragon image and the emblem of the games of the XXIX Olympiad.The reverse of one depicts an ancient Cuju (soccer) event and the other depicts wrestling. Also included are four, approximately 40 mm, one ounce, 99.9% silver coins with a face value of 10 yuan each. The observe of these is the same as that on the gold coins; the reverse of each depicts one Chinese tradition – the Chinese Peking Opera, Yangge (a folk dance), Lion Dances and Big Bowl Tea. Designer obverse: Zhou Jian; designer reverse: various. The coins are encapsulated and presented in a red stained wooden box.
