A Macedonian Alexander the Great silver tetradrachm. The coin, dated between 336 – 323 BC, depicts a bust of Heracles on the obverse; and Zeus seated left holding a scepter and an eagle with the text ‘ALEXANDROY’ to right of Zeus on the reverse. Diameter approximately 22 mm, weight approximately 17 grams. The coin is presented in a fitted case with a wooden presentation box and certificate of authenticity. Graded Ch XF by NGC.
