Hand-Painted Silks Including Fresh Water Pearl Scarf from Hawaii
Item Details
A collection of three hand-painted silks from Hawaii. All three are made using a batik wax-resist to get crisp outlines between each color and are decorated with floral motifs featuring plants native to the islands such as bird of paradise and plumeria flowers. One scarf is adorned with a beaded fringe that features fresh water pearls. Two of the three have a maker’s mark in one corner.
