19th Century Italian Walnut Tilt Top with Delicate Marquetry

Item Details

An Italian walnut tilt top table from the last half of the 19th century having a delicate scrolled foliate marquetry border and center medallion. The round table has a faceted column on a square base with notched corners and flat pad feet. It tilts on a hinge, secured by a sliding metal hook when flat.

Condition

The beautiful table needs a bit of TLC, the finish at the top surface is a bit mottled, the hinge is somewhat loose and the base has nicks and missing veneer.
