An early 20th century Louis XV style Vernis Martin Bureau de Dame with painted scenes. This French ladies writing desk offers a shaped top, domed lid and sides and bombe shaped fall front opening to a writing surface. Mahogany interior has a shelf with two drawers and a sliding lid covering a hidden compartment. Desk stands on slender cabriole legs with gilt brass ormolu mounts. It is finished on all sides with landscape and floral scenes.
