An oil painting on canvas featuring an abstract Color Field composition. Likely inspired by the work of Russian-American artist Mark Rothko (1903-1970), this work features hazy rectangular shapes composed of layered pigments and large painterly brushstrokes. A large light blue rectangular shape sits on top, a narrow yellow-orange rectangular bar is situated in the middle, and a darker blue rectangular shape sits at the bottom, all of which float against a medium blue background. No signature was found on the work. A label from Fredrix frame company is present to the verso.

Condition

- small stains present along lower edge and upper left corner edges of painting.
