Vintage Hand-Knotted Bold Persian Nomadic Wool Rug

A vintage, bold hand-knotted Persian nomadic wool area rug. This large rug features a large, orange-red central diamond shape, with two teal colored diamonds inside, and scattered flower motifs throughout in a palette of orange-red, navy blue, yellow, teal, and blue. Scattered over the field are figural animals and tree forms, with a signature at one end, enclosed in a rectangle. It has a large rectilinear floral medallion to each corner in ochre.
The primary border features an interlocked chain and floral element in the field colors, and and outer border of red-orange with small stylized floral elements spaced intermittently throughout. It has overcast edges and bound ends, with securing strips to the underside to prevent curling. Unmarked.
