Igor Medvedev Limited Edition Serigraph "Beloved"

A limited edition serigraph titled Beloved by Igor Medvedev (1931-2015). This serigraph depicts a moored red row boat, floating on a body of shimmering water. It is numbered ‘HC 14/60’ in pencil in the bottom left corner, and signed ‘I Medvedev’ in the bottom right. This work is presented unmounted and unframed.

Medvedev worked in a variety of media, including printmaking. His work is characterized by a emphasis on structure, deep colors, the use of light, shadows, and works that convey a tranquil mood. Medvedev travelled extensively in Greece during the 1980s and his body of work is highly influenced by his time spent there, Cycladic architecture, and structure. Beloved is a product of these influences.

Condition

- Heavy cracking and chips to finish throughout serigraph. Some minor wear to the exposed deckle edges.
